Help me out...

I am not a chef and I don't claim to be one. I just love good food and sharing recipes with others. If there is any recipe that is not clear, please let me know. If you have a recipe to share, e-mail me at stephkessler84@yahoo.com, you will be credited in the recipe.

Snickerdoodles

1 Cup Shortening
1 1/2 Cups Sugar
2 Eggs
2 1/2 Cups Flour
1 tsp. Baking Soda
2 tsp. Cream of Tartar
1/2 tsp. Salt
2 tsp. Cinnamon
2 Tbsp. Sugar

Cream shortening and sugar together; add eggs and beat with electric mixer until light and fluffy.  Add all dry ingredients, except cinnamon and sugar, and beat only until blended.  Chill.  Shape into walnut sized balls, then roll in cinnamon/sugar mixture.  Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.  Bake until lightly browned but still soft in 400 degree oven for 10-12 minutes.  Cookies will puff up at first, then flatten out with crinkled tops.
